Preparation is the first step toward a relaxing hour on Little Traverse Bay. From departure details at The Pier to what you might spot along the Harbor Point shoreline, we have gathered the essentials here to ensure your time on the water is as smooth as the wake behind us.
Pointer Boat ticket prices vary by day and booking type. Single tickets are $40 Sunday–Thursday and $45 on Friday and Saturday. Full boat private charter tickets are $575. All prices are subject to change, and tickets are subject to availability.
The Pointer Boat is licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard to carry up to 12 passengers and 2 crew members, ensuring a safe and comfortable boating experience.
No, outside food and beverages are not permitted. Our license allows only food and beverages from the Pier Restaurant.
The captains will make a decision for each boat ride throughout the day, and a Pointer Boat host will contact you to arrange a refund or reschedule if needed.
You will have the ability to purchase food & beverage when purchasing your ticket(s) online.
Your confirmation email will include instructions on where to meet a Pointer Boat staff member, who will guide you to the boat.
Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for canceled boat tours.
The boat is equipped with life vests for adults, children, toddlers, and infants. You're also welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

A valid phone number is required when booking your Pointer Boat tour so we can reach you on the day of your trip if needed. This allows us to quickly contact you in the event of weather-related cancellations, schedule changes, or any need to reschedule your boat excursion.
Pointer Boat tours are available at multiple times throughout the day to fit your schedule. Single boat tickets and private buyouts for up to 12 guests are offered at 11:30 AM, 1:00 PM, 2:30 PM, and 4:00 PM. Full boat ticket reservations (up to 12 guests) are available at 5:30 PM and 7:00 PM. A sunset cruise departs at 8:30 PM and offers limited availability for a scenic evening boat tour.
The boat has a 12-person maximum capacity. All guests of any age count toward this limit, except infants 6 months old or younger, who are considered “babes in arms” and must remain in a parent or guardian's arms during the boat tour.
Only service animals are permitted on Pointer Boat tours. If a service animal is present, we may ask that it be removed if other guests have severe allergies or fear of animals, in order to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for everyone on board.
Pointer Boat tickets can be purchased online at pointerboat.com. Booking in advance is recommended, as all boat tour tickets are subject to availability.
